Sophia Loren To Make New Movie –  screen legend Sophia Loren is to make a return to our movie screens with a part in her son’s new film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter and a number of Italian newspapers the actress is set to star in La Voce Umana (The Human Voice) , a movie being directed by her son, 40-year old Edoardo Ponti.

The film is to be set in a number of different Italian locations including Naples and Rome, with a substantial part of the shooting due to take place in Ostia, a harbour town on the Tyrrhenian coast near to Rome.

The story of The Human Voice is based around a 1930 Jean Cocteau play which portrays the mental breakdown of a woman after she learns that her lover for the last 5 years is about to marry another woman. The story has previously been filmed in 1948 by Roberto Rossellini who used the plot of La Voce Umana as part of his anthology piece L’Amore. This earlier version had the acclaimed Oscar-winning Italian actress Anna Magnani playing the role that Loren is to take on in the new movie.

Despite now being 78-years old Loren is still a stunning looking woman as cab be sen from the photo shown here which was taken last year. There are many woman less than half her age who would love to rock a body half as good as hers. She last acted over 3 years ago when she appeared in the Italian tv movie My House Is Full Of Mirrors when she played her own mother!

Although it could seem a little awkward for Edoardo to direct his own mother in a movie he does have some experience of this already as he directed Loren in his 2002 movie Between Strangers (Cuori Estrani).

The Human Voice is expected to start shooting later on this month with a likely release date of some time next year.

Is Sharknado The Worst Movie Ever? – this 90m movie has just premiered on the US Syfy and has had a huge reaction from viewers.

Proving that sometimes really bad can actually be both really fun and really good the movie was the main subject of over half a million tweets after it was aired yesterday. The made for tv movie seemed to have cast something of a spell over viewers and soon Twitter was abuzz with talk of the corny disaster film.

The plot of Sharknado revolves around a weather system that has thousands of sharks in the Pacific Ocean picked up by a tornado and then thrown all around LA causing death and destruction in all the familiar tourist destinations.

The movie stars (is that the correct word to use here?) Tara Reid from American Pie and Ian Ziering from 90210 and, more importantly for a movie like this, Biker Mice From Mars. These two (who play a man and his ex-wife) and a bunch of other like-minded souls attempt to save their loved ones and the city from shark destruction with the help of chainsaws, helicopters and a very dodgy script.

The movie is just the latest in the Syfy channel’s series of unusual shark related movies which includes other classics such as Sharktopus. Are you sensing something of a theme here. This latest movie seems to have hit the terrible movie jackpot and looks destined to join the ranks of terrible movie classics such as Plan 9 From Outer Space (1956) a movie that is often given the title of the worst movie ever made but is enjoyed by millions of people precisely because it is so bad.

Other ‘so bad they are good’ movies include 1964′s Santa Claus Conquers The Martians (the plot is what you might expect, Martians kidnap Santa to make their children happy) and the 1938 classic The Terror of Tiny Town, an all midget cast musical Western with Shetland ponies being used instead of the usual cowboy horses.

Sharknado looks set to get a repeat showing sometime soon and we are certainly hoping that we don’t miss out on it here in the UK. As we also have a SyFy channel it looks more than likely that we will also soon have the pleasure of seeing our hero release himself from a giant shark by using a chainsaw.

2015 Bond Movie To Be Based On Devil May Care – reports are coming out that say the next James Bond movie will be based on the 2008 novel Devil May Care.

It is looking like the 24th movie in the Bond franchise will be using the plot of Sebastian Faulks’ novel written to  celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bond writer Ian Fleming’s birth. The book was released by Penguin Books on 28 May 2008, the actual centenary of Fleming’s birth.

Unlike many of the more recent Bond novels Devil May Care was written very much based on the same style as used by Ian Fleming. It was also set in the 60′s to further add to the authentic feel.

The main characters of the novel apart from Bond are the book’s baddie, Dr Julius Gorner, a megalomaniac chemist with a deep-seated hatred of Britain and a new female MI6 agent, Scarlett Papava. We are sure that betting will soon start on who is play each of these central roles.

The action of Devil May Care takes place in several locations, just as you would expect from any good Bond novel, including Iran, Afghanistan, Russia and England.

News of the possible storyline for the next Bond movie comes just hours after it was confirmed that Skyfall director Sam Mendes will be making a return to direct the 24th Bond film. Mendes won over many critics with his more realistic style used in the last Bond outing and his appointment for the new movie is sure to please critics as well as the majority of Bond fans.

Not only are the critics and fans sure to be pleased at the news of Mendes return to the Bond stable but we are sure it will greatly please the money men as Mendes’ Skyfall has so far taken over $1 billion worldwide making it the most successful Bond movie of all-time.

The new Bond movie, which may well turn out to be called Devil May Care or be based on that book’s plotline, is set to be released in the UK on 23 October 2015 with its US release due to follow on 6 November.

As well as Sam Mendes returning as director it has already been confirmed that Daniel Craig will be returning to the role of James Bond and the usual production team of Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson will also be there.

Vanessa Hudgens Looking Hot At Frozen Ground Premiere – whilst the title of the movie might be frozen it sure didn’t look like the star was anything but hot at last night’s premiere at London’s Vue West End.

The 24-year old Frozen Ground actress turned up on an already hot evening in a plunge front nude outfit that made temperatures go even higher amongst the waiting crowds and photographers.

Vanessa’s movie premiere outfit came courtesy of the British designer Jenny Packham. Packham is known for her big celebrity client list which also includes Dita von Teese, Eva Longoria, Angelina Jolie as well as Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Although she has designed a lot of bridal wear Packham is also known for her work on the costumes shown in Sex and the City and Vanessa Hudgens outfit tonight certainly had more of the Sex and the City about it than the quiet church wedding.

Vanessa showed off plenty of cleavage in the nude and silver jumpsuit, which also featured some crystals to add more sparkle to the overall effect. It did look tonight though as though the crystal sparkles may have been something of a waste as that was not where most men were looking when Vanessa arrived.

As well as Vanessa the premiere was also attended by the movie’s other major star, actor Nicolas Cage who arrived with his wife Alice Kim. Alice, who married cage in 2004, looked pretty hot too in a black leather minidress with a long see-through black overlay.

The plot of The Frozen Ground revolves around the relationship between Cage’s character, an Alaska State Trooper, and Hudgen’s character, a prostitute, who combine together to bring a serial killer (played by John Cusack) to justice.

The Frozen Ground opens at major UK cinemas this Friday and will be released in the US on 23 August this year.

Comic Con 2013, The Not So Geeky Visitors – this year’s Comic-Con event has opened this weekend in San Diego.

The annual 4 day event is expected to attract around 130k people this year and although there are of course the usual large number of Star Wars fans and plenty of Trekkies  there seems to be a much cooler and sexier element at this year’s show.

Many are putting part of the reason for the change down to the incredible success of the tv series The Big Bang Theory.

There was an appearance at this year’s Comic Con from both Johnny Galecki, who plays Leonard in the show as well as the small but very sexy Melissa Rauch who plays Bernadette Wolowitz.

In addition to the 2 regular cast members Comic Con also had the honour of having the man recognised as the world’s most brilliant scientist, Stephen Hawking, appear as part of The Big Bang Theory feature. Hawking explained how he liked to mess with Sheldon’s mind saying ‘when I’m not playing Words With Friends with Sheldon, I like to think about the universe.’

Hawking then said he would explain the scientific Big Bang Theory before proceeding to sing the show’s theme tune for the delighted Comic Con onlookers.

Apart from the lovely Melissa Rauch there was plenty of other glamour on show at this year’s Comic Con this weekend. Some of the early attendees included Maggie Q, who wore a sexy and revealing black outfit for her feature on the new season of Nikita. There was also actress Emilia Clarke who attended a forum on hit series Game of Thrones.

Other weekend attendees included model Emily Ratajkowski whose outfit must have caused a rush of blood in many a sex-starved geek. Also there were actress Chloe Dykstra whose see-through black top will surely have finished off any remaining geeks at the event.

The Lone Ranger, London Premiere With Red Carpet Photos – the latest Johnny Depp movie had its London premiere tonight.

Depp has travelled to the UK with new girlfriend Amber Heard although continuing their recent trend she did not go to tonight’s premiere and they did not appear together in front of the cameras for any promotional photos.

Also at tonight’s premiere were Depp’s Lone Ranger co-star Armie Hammer and his wife model and tv presenter Elizabeth Chambers.

Depp has been talking in recent days about his thoughts on the new movie which has got some less than favourable reviews in the US and has failed to make a great impact at the box office. Speaking to the BBC Depp said that he had no expectations for the movie and therefore the film’s performance at the US box office didn’t come as a disappointment to him. He has spoken before about how he doesn’t value the critics opinions of the new movie but is only really bothered if his children like it.

In the new movie the part of the Lone Ranger is played by Armie Hammer with Depp taking the role of his Native American sidekick Tonto.

There was plenty of non-cast related glamour at tonight’s premiere with red carpet sightings of Kimberley Garner and Cheska Hull from Made In Chelsea who both showed off plenty of flesh with their choice of outfit. Kimberley chose a long bright yellow gown that had a very revealing plunge front whilst Cheska wore a colourful striped dress which was slit high on the thigh and had see-through sections.

Two former X Factor contestants were amongst tonight’s guest list, Jade Ellis and Diana Vickers. Jade wore a fairly standard long black dress while Diana bucked the red carpet trend and showed off her long slender legs with her choice of a little leopard-print crop top and shorts combination that also showed off her trim tummy.

Also looking confident on the red carpet, and showing off her long legs too, was former Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts who wore a short beige and purple print minidress matched with nude heels.

The Lone Ranger goes on release at UK cinemas from 9 August.

Karlie Kloss Hot In NYC – the US model has been spending plenty of time recently on the streets of New York and on her latest outing she shows a striking similarity to actress Keira Knightley.

The 20-year old model and Victoria’s Secret Angel has previously been seen this month on a photo shoot for Vogue USA when she was teamed up with electro outfit Daft Punk. On that occasion she was given some unusual space style clothing to wear for the feature in the August edition of the top fashion mag which went on sale this Tuesday.

In her latest photo however she has been caught taking her little pet Yorkshire Terrier for a walk and she is wearing her own choice of clothes this time with her very long legs (Karlie is 6ft 1in tall) being accentuated by the high-cut shorts in her little blue halterneck outfit.

In this main photo shown here the model looks very like Keira Knightley as she walks smiling through the NYC streets. We doubt her little Yorkie gives her much of a workout with its little legs but the model mainly keeps herself fit not by power walking or going to the gym but by ballet sessions.

Karlie, who has been modelling since around the age of 14-years old, is often seen in ads for fashion heavyweights such as Dolce and Gabbana, Donna Karen, Yves Saint Laurent and Jean Paul Gaultier as well as her work on the Victoria’s Secret ranges.

Rosamund Pike To Appear In Gone Girl – the former Bond girl has been confirmed as playing the role of Amy Dunne in the new movie adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s bestselling novel.

It’s been a busy time for the 34-year old actress who appeared just a few days ago at the premiere of her latest movie release The World’s End. She looked very stylish that night appearing in a white Victoria Beckham dress with a see-through mesh section that showed off a very bright pink bra. She finished the outfit off with a pair of high pink and nude heels.

The World’s End is the final part of the Simon Pegg trilogy of movies, following on from Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Word has it that Rosamund beat off some stiff competition to land the new role of Amy Dunne with other names previously linked to the part including Natalie Portman, Rooney Mara, Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron. This shows the high regard that director David Fincher (Fight Club, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) holds her in as 2 of those mentioned are Best Actress Oscar winners.

Interestingly, another Oscar-winning actress, Reese Witherspoon, bought the movie rights to Flynn’s novel last year and is believed to have paid around $1.5m for them. Despite laying out such a lot of movie for the rights Witherspoon has not so far been linked to playing any of the characters in the film adaptation.

Ben Affleck has already been confirmed as playing the lead male role of Nick who is Amy’s husband.

The basic plot revolves around Amy’s disappearance on her and husband Nick’s 5th wedding anniversary and how the finger of suspicion quickly turns to Nick and what motives he might have with regard to her disappearance.

David Fincher and his team are due to start shooting scenes from this September and the movie has an expected release date of sometime next year.

Topless Shots Of Lindsay Lohan Leaked From The Canyons – just a couple of days after her release from rehab topless stills of the 27-year old have found their way onto the internet.

Lindsay always seems very relaxed about showing off her body so we are sure she will not mind in the least and will no doubt see it just as good publicity for herself and her new movie.

The topless stills come from Lilo’s new movie release, The Canyons, which also stars soft porn actor James Deen. The shots come from a couple of scenes showing Lohan in the shower and completely naked on a sofa with the exception of a pair of black stilettos.

Whilst the movie was being shot it was revealed that Lohan insisted on the film crew all stripping down to their boxer shots whilst she filmed a number of the nude scenes. The word from the set was that she was a very talented actress but was also quite troubled and shooting was seldom straightforward. All of this seems strangely reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s behaviour on movie sets.

Lohan did of course famously pose for Playboy magazine some years ago in the style of the Marilyn Monroe and this edition is now quite collectable.

The Canyons has just been released on VOD (video on demand) and has got some fairly mixed reviews. Many have commented that it is basically just a soft core porn movie and are worried that Lohan’s career may now be stuck in this direction. It is certainly true that it is a long time since one of her movie performances received a great critical reaction and she seems to have spent more time in the media for her personal problems than for her professional performances.

Lohan’s best reviewed movie roles so far are probably 2004′s Mean Girls, 2005′s Freaky Friday and the much younger Lindsay’s 1998 performance in The Parent Trap.

The Canyons is only available in the US at the present time with no current details of any UK or European release dates.

Sharknado Red Carpet Event And Jedward Rumour – the cast of low-budget hit Sharknado were out in force this weekend for a one-off midnight screening.

The special big-screen showing took place at the Regal Cinema at L.A. Live and everyone looked very pleased with how well the small-screen sci-fi shocker had done and were also anticipating bigger paychecks still for the upcoming sequel Sharknado 2.

The movie’s main star is American Pie actress Tara Reid, who turned up for the red carpet event in a bright pink dress which showed off her impressive cleavage. She was joined on the red carpet by fellow cast members Ian Ziering, John Heard, Christopher Wolfe and the film’s director Anthony C Ferrante and the screenwriter Thunder Levin.

Tara has caused something of a stir today when she seemed to reveal that the follow-up movie was going  to star Irish twin brothers Jedward, who she said were also going to write a new song for the soundtrack. The Jedward boys seemed to be well up for this as they quickly took to Twitter to respond early this morning that they had found out from Tara that they were to star in Sharknado 2.

Tara knows the boys from their time together on Celebrity Big Brother where the trio hit it off. She had to admit later in the day that she was just thinking aloud and it was “just an idea.” Although Jedward have a solid and loyal fanbase there are many that would have been thinking there was enough disaster in the first movie without adding their acting talents to any sequel.

The original Sharknado movie has now received 3 separate showings (each with bigger audiences than the one before) on the SyFy channel in the US and has also got great viewing figures on its release in Australia and on Eastern tv networks.

Finally audiences in the UK will get a chance to see what all the fuss is about this week as the film is being aired on the UK’s own SyFy channel this Wednesday.

Riley Keogh Looks Fit For A King In New Lingerie Campaign – the eldest grandchild of Elvis Presley and the reported new girlfriend of Robert Pattinson has been named as the brand ambassador of Australian lingerie brand Bonds.

24-year old Riley is the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keogh and can therefore rightly claim to be the only model who has Elvis as her grandfather and Michael Jackson as a stepfather. Surely she ought to add singer to her actress and model credentials with that sort of background?

According to US Weekly, Riley is currently rumoured to be spending time with R-Patz after his split with long-term girlfriend Kristen Stewart. Riley and Kristen have actually worked together on the 2010 movie The Runaways, which told the story of the 1970′s female rock band.

After the recent talk of Pattinson’s fascination with her friend Katy Perry’s boobs poor Kristen must be wondering just how many other friends and ex-colleagues are going to be linked with her former lover.

Riley has said that she was delighted to be asked to front the new Lacies collection for the Aussie lingerie company. She is seen in one of the promotional photos wearing some sporty lingerie but the best shot of her shows her looking very fit in a sexy pink lacy bra and knickers set.

It’s not Riley’s first foray into the world of fashion as she has already worked on campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Victoria’s Secret as well as appearing on the cover of Vogue.

The new Lacies collection from Bonds is only available to buy for those in the Southern hemisphere at the moment.

Scarlett Johansson Is A Singular Beauty For Harper’s Bazaar – the stunning 28-year old is one of the stars of Harper’s Bazaar’s upcoming “Singular Beauty” issue.

Scarlett is joined in the special issue by Lily Collins, Dakota Fanning, Gabourey Sidibe, Liberty Ross and Zoe Kravitz. The yearly fashion special is always eagerly awaited and it is considered a big deal to appear in the top fashion mag’s special issue.

The theme of this year’s fashion special is diversity and this is shown by the selection of strong women appearing. One photo features 82-year old model Carmen Dell’Orefice who is by some distance the world’s oldest working fashion model. Carmen first appeared on the cover of Vogue in 1947 at the age of 15 and has been working ever since.

To emphasise the diversity theme Carmen appears in the same photo as 16-year old model Ondria Hardin. The choice of Ondria may be a little controversial coming so close to her headline hitting African Queen feature for Numéro magazine in February this year.

One choice that is certainly not controversial is that of Scarlett Johansson who is dubbed “Our modern Marilyn” by the Harper’s editorial. The feature was put together by Harper’s Global Fashion Director Carine Roitfeld and all the photos were taken by the legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld.

For this special shoot Scarlett is shown wearing a gold leather Prada dress that falls just below the knee. This is matched with a grey/blue sweater and a big black belt.

The Singular Beauty special feature appears in all 29 international versions of the magazine including the new German and Japanese editions.

Minnie Driver Discovers Family Secrets In Who Do You Think You Are – the Oscar-nominated actress found out plenty of new information about her father;s secret past in the latest episode of BBC family history series Who Do You Think You Are.

Minnie, real name Amelia Fiona Driver, hit the big time with her performance as Harvard University student  Skylar in the 1997 Oscar-winning movie drama Good Will Hunting. Her performance in this movie bought to her to the publics attention and won her further roles in movies such as Tarzan (1998) and The Phantom of the Opera (2004) as well as some great roles in tv shows such as WIll and Grace (2003-4) and The Riches (2007-8) which won her nominations for both a Golden Globe and an Emmy.

Minnie revealed on Who Do You Think You Are that she didn’t really know that much about her father, who was not married to her mother but actually married to someone else, a fact she discovered in her teenage years. She said on tonight’s programme “My dad lived a very split life. We just did not talk about where he came from.”

The actress said that she wanted to find out her roots as much for her young son Henry’s sake as for her own. The 4-year old was born in 2008 and although she did not say who the father was at the time of his birth she has subsequently revealed him to be a writer from her hit television show The Riches.

During the course of tonight’s programme Minnie discovered that her secretive father was actually a hero from the Second World War. Ronnie Driver was heavily involved in the Battle of Heligoland Bight, the first big air battle of the World War II, and he won the Distinguished Flying Medal for his brave actions in helping to save the lives of his fellow crew members.

Later in the show Minnie also discovered that she had a half cousin from her father’s first marriage and she was still alive and living near Stockport. Added to this she also discovered a half-brother of her father’s who had a successful stage career and you can see that the actress had an emotional journey during the course of the show.

Minnie Driver’s episode of Who Do You Think You Are will be repeated on BBC1 tomorrow night at 10.35 pm or is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

Jennifer and Justin To Marry This Weekend? – yet more rumours are circulating that it will be this weekend that sees Jennifer Aniston finally tie the knot with boyfriend Justin Theroux.

Although it is being said that all the preparations being planned at present are for Justin’s birthday celebrations this weekend there are many who think this is just a cover for the pair’s wedding.

Jennifer was spotted yesterday at a Hollywood beauty salon getting some treatments and has let it be known through her people that all the frantic activity on view is just linked to Justin’s 42nd birthday party which is being held tonight.

Certainly a birthday party is a good cover if you want to invite a load of friends to an event and the pair has already said that they have such a hectic work schedule they are not sure what time is available to fit in a wedding this year. well there is nothing like killing 2 birds with 1 stone is there!

Whatever the real reason for the party there will be plenty of Justin and Jennifer’s showbiz pals at their Bel Air mansion tonight and we are sure they will all have a great time. Amongst all the showbiz stars in attendance there is one extra guest whose presence lends much more credibility to the marriage taking place this weekend. On the party guest list is Jennifer’s long estranged mother Nancy who she once described as “my last chunk of disease in my life.”

One interesting fact to keep in mind is that Jennifer famously didn’t invite her mother Nancy to her 2000 Malibu clifftop wedding to Brad Pitt. The actress first fell out with her mother after she gave a tv interview about their relationship in 1996,

Jennifer is currently celebrating the box office success of her recently released movie We’re The Millers where she plays the part of stripper Rose O’Reilly who ends up masquerading as a soccer mom to bring cannabis back into the US from Mexico in a camper van.

Strictly Come Dancing 2013, Who Is Signing Up? –  yes we know it is still summer but with all that fitness training required the show needs to sort out which celebrities will be competing for the glitterball trophy well in advance of the start date.

It seems that this year’s series of the pro-celeb dance competition will almost certainly feature its first Bond girl (maybe even 2), as well as a former female gladiator, Superman’s girlfriend and a WAG!

Today it has been revealed that the journalist and tv and radio presenter Vanessa Feltz is joining the new series of Strictly. 51-year old Vanessa has had a fairly lively career with a reputation for being more than a little outgoing. Early on in her career she wrote for both The Jewish Chronicle and Men Only, giving advice on all manner of things but especially sex. She later wrote a humorous sex advice  book entitled “What Are These Strawberries Doing On My Nipples I Need Them For The Fruit Salad!”

Also linked in with the new series of is former Bond girl Fiona Fullerton, who appeared as 007′s love interest in 1985′s A View To A Kill. 56-year old Fiona has moved well away from the world of international spies in recent years and now owns her own property company as well as writing newspaper columns on property investing.

There has been talk in previous years of Louis Lane, aka Teri Hatcher, joining the dance show but it looks like this year it is actually going to happen. Teri had her big break in the early 90s with her appearance in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. She quickly followed this with a role as Bond girl Paris Carver in the 1997 movie Tomorrow Never Dies. Teri is of course better known in recent years for her role as Susan Mayer in Desperate Housewives. By the way don’t worry about Teri having to get fit for all that dancing as she is a former triathlon competitor.

This year’s possible WAG competitor is none other than 27-year old model Abbey Crouch. Abbey is the wife of footballer Peter Crouch and she and Peter are already said to have been viewing a possible London property to rent while Abbey takes part in Strictly.

Another name that seems likely to make the final line-up is former Gladiators star Jet, real name Diane Youdale. As well as appearing in Gladiators she has also worked as a psychotherapist and a Pilates instructor so she can seemingly turn her hand to most things.

Other possibles for the new Strictly series include tv chef and Hairy Biker, Dave Myers, singer Sophie Ellis Bextor and tv presenter, model and girlfriend of Kate’s brother, Donna Air.

The Strictly Come Dancing 2013 celebrities are set to be confirmed by the BBC next month.

The Victoria and Albert Museum has today announced that it has acquired Vivien Leigh’s archive of movie scripts, photos, letters, diaries, awards and many other personal items. The collection was previously in the hands of Leigh’s grandchildren and it features many items about the actress’s professional and private life that have never been seen in public before.

She was a great letter writer and amongst the large archive are around 7.5k letters sent to her and Olivier from a hugely diverse group of people including Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Winston Churchill and Marilyn Monroe. She was clearly a very organised person as she actually catalogued each of the letters in her collection.

One item that is sure to be of great interest to movie fans when the collection goes on display is the visitors book for the Olivier/Leigh family home at Notley Abbey in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire. This contains the signatures of many of the biggest movie stars of the age who visited the couple’s home including Judy Garland, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall and Orson Welles.

The actress in almost as well-known for her personal life as she is for her movie career. A number of biographies in recent years have referred to her habit of stripping her clothes off in front of people as well as her  many one-night stands, a liking for “rough trade” and also several lesbian affairs.

Her marriage to Olivier was under great strain from her outrageous behaviour with the actor said to have come home to find his wife sliding naked down the bannisters. The marriage did not seem destined to last with Leigh apparently taunting her husband with talk of her affairs with other leading men including Rex Harrison and Marlon Brando and increasing bouts of manic depression.

The newly acquired Vivien Leigh archive collection will go on view at London’s V&A form this autumn with a number of digitized items available online at the V&A‘s website.

Sofia Vergara and Sharon Stone Have Threesome in New Movie – the official trailer has been released for the new John Turturro movie Fading Gigolo.

Now if you had written and directed a movie starring both Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara and the plot called for a man to make up a threesome with these lovely ladies who do you think might get picked to play the part?

Yes, that’s right John Turturro (The Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou?) plays the role of Fiorovante a shop worker who is talked into working as a part-time male prostitute by his friend Murray, played by Woody Allen in a rare turn in another director’s movie. In fact the last time Woody appeared in another director’s movie was back in 2000 when he played the part of Tex Cowley in Alfonso Arau’s Picking Up The Pieces. That movie also starred Sharon Stone who played Woody’s unfaithful wife.

In the new movie it is no surprise to see that having written himself into a threesome with Stone and Vergara, John Turturro has also written in plenty of shots of the two ladies in sexy lingerie.

Today’s trailer gives a good feel for the movie, which is to be premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival in early September this year.

As well as Turturro, Stone, Vergara and Allen the movie, which we should explain is a comedy, also stars Liev Schreiber and Vanessa Paradis.

Fading Gigolo is going on release in the US after its appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival but there is no date confirmed yet for its UK cinema release.

Raquel Welch In New Versace Movie – the 72-year old sex symbol is to star in a new movie about the late fashion legend Gianni Versace.

The new House of Versace movie will star Raquel Welch as Gianni and Donatella Versace’s Aunt Lucia and also features performances from Gina Gershon as Donatella Versace, Colm Feore as Santo Versace and has Enrico Colantoni playing the part of Gianni Versace.

The screenplay is based on the book House of Versace:The Untold Story of Genius, Murder and Survival and concentrates on the Versace empire after Gianni’s untimely death in 1997.

Although Raquel had a small guest appearance in CSI:Miami last year she has not had a major part since her 2008 tv appearance in Welcome to The Captain. Her last movie role was back in 2006 when she played the part of Christine DeLee in the somewhat disappointing Forget About It.

The 4 times married movie star has not been idle since cutting back on her screen appearances as she has released the best-selling book Raquel: Beyond the Cleavage which tells some of her secrets of looking so good  into her 70s. She reveals that part of the secret to her looks is good diet, exercise and yoga although she self deprecatingly says that one reason she still looks good is that it takes her 3 hours to get ready!

Raquel has managed to still look sexy without either looking plastic and artificial or looking like an old woman in a young woman’s clothes. Just last year she had a 5 day festival in New York, Cinematic Goddess: American Sex Symbol, The Films Of Raquel Welch.

Apart from being the major sex symbol for a generation (or more) of American men she has also taken on some fairly ground-breaking roles. In the 1969 movie 100 Rifles Raquel took part in cinema’s first interracial sex scene with actor Jim Brown. She also played a transsexual in the 1970 movie Myra Breckinridge based on the Gore Vidal novel. Unfortunately the movie proved to be much less popular than the novel and has appeared on a number of “worst movies ever made” lists.

The House Of Versace is due to premiere on Lifetime on Saturday 5 October this year.

Liz Hurley In Leather Catsuit For New Meerkats Ad – the Austin Powers actress has donned her old leather catsuit for a new tv advert.

Here in the UK the Compare The Meerkats adverts have been popular for many years with the main characters of Aleksandr Orlov and his sidekick Sergei having many fans. In fact such is Aleksandr’s popularity that in 2010 his autobiography was released and famously managed to secure more pre-orders than either Tony Blair or Cheryl Cole managed for their books.

Liz has apparently been persuaded to take part in the latest Meerkats ad campaign by her young son Damian who is a big fan of the ads.

The new ad features Liz dressed in her Vanessa Kensington leather catsuit from the 1997 AP movie and she said that although she feared she was a little heavier than she was the first time she wore it she was pleased to report that it fitted her perfectly.

Although she wore her Austin Powers leather catsuit it is actually some more adventurous movies that the company has used for its latest campaign.

Liz and her meerkat friends can be seen recreating scenes from Mission Impossible as well as James Bond. Maiya the meerkat is even seen posing on the bonnet of the iconic Bond Aston Martin DB5.

Liz and Maiya the meerkat launched their new ad campaign with a special event held last night at The Troxy in London. Liz looked in superb shape and nothing like her actual 48-years as she posed in a daring emerald-green halterneck gown which featured a cut-out section exposing her cleavage. The gown was designed by Issa London and she paired it with some stylish gold heels from Patrick Cox.

As far as the new ad goes it is best to leave the final word to the main meerkat himself, Aleksandr Orlov who said: ‘Maiya was once greatest spy in all Russia. She is love comparing furs on photo shootings with Elizabeth Hurley and talking ex spy ladykat secrets.’

Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas To Divorce – the Hollywood A-Listers are reportedly about to announce that they are splitting up.

Several sources are quoting Michael Douglas as being about to make a formal announcement ending his and Catherine’s 13-year marriage.

Douglas has recently arrived in Sardinia by private jet for a holiday with the couple’s 2 children but without Catherine. He has been spotted on the golf course with friends but there has been no sign of Catherine who is said to be still back in the family home in America.

Catherine was said to be cross that her husband had taken their 2 children out of the country but there was nothing that she could do about it. Douglas had recently been looking after both 13-year old Dylan and 10-year old Carys in any event whilst his wife has been receiving treatment for her bipolar disorder.

The couple have been through a great deal together in recent years and their marriage was thought to be one of the strongest in Hollywood. They have been through some very tough times together in recent years including Michael’s battle with throat cancer in 2010-11, Michael’s son Cameron’s 2010 prison sentence for drug offences and Catherine’s recently revealed battle with bipolar disorder.

According to some sources it is Catherine’s manic behaviour and her insistence on getting her own way that have led to their recent problems. Although she has always been seen as a strong woman it seems that Michael has tired of things. He has had a number of big movie roles where he has been dominated by women including Disclosure (Demi Moore), Fatal Attraction (Glenn Close) and Basic Instinct (Sharon Stone) so one would have thought that he is used to not getting his own way.

Inevitably there have been some big divorce settlement figures being thrown about already with talk of 43-year old Catherine seeking a large amount of money from her 68-year old husband to help support both her and their 2 children. Already there is talk though of Michael not wanting to hand over custody of the couple’s children to Catherine and he is seemingly close to them both as they are with him in Sardinia and he also looked after them on both occasions Catherine was in a treatment clinic.

Michael and Catherine have not been seen together for over 4 months and if this rumour is true then it could be a whole lot longer before they are seen in the same room.

A spokesperson for Douglas said this weekend when questioned on the couple’s relationship and possible separation “I won’t talk about that.”
